How to convert comments from Frame.io into protools markers?

1. Export a CSV marker file from Frame.io

Export comments from Frame.io in the video comments menu "Download to File" > "CSV".

2. Use the "Convertisseur de marqueurs" to convert the CSV marker file into a ptx marker file

Open the free Convertisseur de marqueurs, select "Frame.io > Comments (.csv)" and set "convert" to "PTX". You can also set the Session Timecode Start, the Sample Rate and the Audio Pull Rate. Generate and download the file. If you have problems converting the file, you can contact the free support.

3. Import the ptx marker file into Avid ProTools

To import markers go to "File -> Import -> Session Data". Select the ptx file and make sure to check the "Ruler Markers" box in the Session Data panel before pressing OK. Your markers should now be imported into our ProTools Session.

4. Done
